The OCCC Print Shop welcomed students and faculty for a behind-the-scenes look at its operations during an open house last month, highlighting the technology and expertise behind many of the college’s printed materials.
Located on the second floor of the Main Building, the Print Shop produces a variety of materials for the college, including posters and cards.

The open house was held to showcase the shop’s printing machines and demonstrate its printing processes to faculty and students. Over the years, the Print Shop has earned several awards from the Association of College and University Printers for its work. In 2022, the shop received ACUP Production Awards for banners and posters. It also earned the ACUP+ Production Award GOLD in graphic design for the OCCC Esports Game Lab. Additional honors include ACUP+ Impression Awards in 2024 and 2025, as well as the ACUP+ Production Award PLATINUM for wide-format posters in 2023.

Several machines were featured during the open house, including the Canon ImagePress C810, Mimaki UCJV 300-160, Mutoh XpertJet 661UF and the Duplo DC-646 and DC-F2. Many of these machines are used to produce banners and posters.

The OCCC Print Shop also prints stickers and business cards, as well as the Absolute literary magazine. Students and faculty can visit the shop for printing needs such as flyers, posters, banners and other publicity materials.
